No bootable device - insert boot disk

On replacing your computer with a new system board, the Windows 8 OS may display one of the following error messages:

• No bootable device – insert boot disk
• Invalid Partition table

To eliminate the error message, change the boot settings to UEFI mode in the BIOS setup.
